The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.

You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.

Traditional Services

Traditional Funeral

Visitation the day before and one hour prior to funeral service next day (with purchase of casket from our funeral home).

Please note, that when selecting and itemizing choices on-line that will fit your particular needs, the package price is NOT reflected in the overall total price. However, when calculating the price at the funeral home, the package price will be used in determining the overall funeral cost, as long as the requirements are fulfilled.

All in One Day

$5,375.00

Visitation in the morning with the funeral service immediately that same day (with purchase of casket from our funeral home).

Cremation Services

Direct Cremation

Visitation and Cremation

$5,280.00

Visitation and funeral services the same day followed by cremation. (Use of our rental caskets required at an additional charge.)

General Price List

These prices are effective as of August 1, 2023 and are subject to change without notice.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the goods and services you selected.

Basic Services of the Funeral Director and Staff

$2,845.00

Our services include: conducting the arrangements conference; planning the funeral; consulting with family and clergy; shelter of remains; preparing and filing of necessary notices; obtaining the necessary authorizations and permits; coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties. In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs.

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Embalming

$750.00

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Other Preparations

  • Preparation of body for identification prior to cremation - $300.00
  • Preparation room and staff for private autopsy service (Autopsy Extra) - $400.00
  • Hairdresser Styling (Hair coloring extra) - $50.00
  • Other Professional Care - No Embalming - $300.00
  • Transfer of Remains to the Funeral Home (Chicago Removals incur an extra charge of $200.00) - $480.00

Use of Facilities, Staff and Equipment for Services Conducted at Our Facility

  • Facilities and Staff for Viewing (4 Hours) - $850.00
  • Additional Hours of Visitation (Per hour) - $150.00
  • Extra charge for Visitation on any federally recognized holiday - $500.00
  • Memorial Service at the funeral home, church or other facility - $850.00
  • Funeral Ceremony - $550.00
  • Memorial Service at Wauconda Funeral Home without prior Cremation or Burial Services conducted by Wauconda Funeral Home - $1500.00

Use of Staff and Equipment for Services Conducted at Our Facility

  • Equipment and Staff for Visitation - $850.00
  • Equipment and Staff for Funeral Ceremony Elsewhere - $550.00
  • Committal Service following Ceremony - $150.00
  • Equipment and Staff for Graveside Service - $250.00

Automotive Equipment

  • Hearse - $750.00
  • Limousine (Restaurant or unscheduled wait $100.00/hour) - $750.00
  • Utility Vehicle- $180.00
  • Lincoln Navigator L (Can be substituted for the hearse) - $500.00
  • Flower Car - $750.00

Direct Cremation

  • Cremation Fee - $450.00

  • Direct Cremation - $2425.85
    Our charge for a direct cremation includes: Transfer of remains to the funeral home; a proportionate share of basic services of funeral director and staff; transport to the crematory; cremation; Coroner's cremation permit (Lake or McHenry County); direct alternative container; and sales tax. (Memorial services can be arranged at our facility or another facility for an additional charge.)

Immediate Burial

  • Immediate Burial - $2,885.00
    Our Charge for this service includes: transfer of remains to funeral home; a proportionate share of the basic services of funeral director and staff; dressing; casketing; cosmetics; and hearse to cemetery. Purchase of a casket from Wauconda Funeral home required for this package price. This charge does not include viewing, merchandise and/or ceremony or graveside services.

  • Forwarding of Remains to Another Funeral Home - $2,765.00
    Our charge for this service includes: transfer of remains to funeral home; basic services of funeral director and staff; embalming; dressing; casketing; cosmetics; and transfer of remains to point of transportation. This charge does not include viewing, ceremony, merchandise or shipping charges.

  • Receiving of Remains from another Funeral Home - $2,110.00
    Our charge includes: basic services of the funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; care of remains; transportation of remains to funeral home and to cemetery or crematory.

Registers, Cards and Programs

  • Basic Acknowledgement Cards (per box of 25) - $10.00
  • Register Book - $60.00
  • Memorial Folders (per 100, additional folders are $50.00/100)- $100.00
  • Prayer Cards (per 100, additional cards are $35.00 per 100) - $75.00
  • Inside or Outside Crucifix (each) - $15.00
  • Organist - $100.00
  • Refrigeration of Remains (per day) - $100.00
  • Altar Servers (each)- $10.00
  • Coroner's Cremation Permit Lake and McHenry County- $100.00
    • Cook County $150.00
  • Prayer Card/Register Book Sets (and up) - $185.00
  • Premium Acknowledgement Cards (per box of 25) - $15.00

Miscellaneous

  • Refrigeration - $100.00/day
  • Norwood Oak Rental Fee - $950.00
  • Norwood Oak Casket Insert - $350.00
  • A 3% Fee will be Applied to All Credit Card Transactions. This Does Not Apply to Checks or Cash.
